Is Your Logo A Good Fit For Twitter?
Following the most recent Twitter redesign in March, there may be a small change needed to your profile that you haven't got "a—round" to! Your followers might benefit from seeing a little more of you!
It's been a few months since Twitter's latest design update and as you may or may not have noticed, the most significant change to how the new Twitter looks (besides the elimination of "The Egg" blank profile) was the introduction of circular profile images — replacing the historically square shaped avatar.
This did receive a great deal of hate from Twitter users initially, mostly due to people generally being resistant to change but I personally find it more visually appealing, although it does cause a slight issue for a lot of business and personally branded profiles.
I don't need to tell you the difference between a square and a circle but what some people may not consider is how the same image displays completely differently within a circle compared to a square.
Meaning that if your business or personal logo has key elements near any of the four corners these will be cropped out by the new circle shape, so a bit of resizing or re-positioning may be required to ensure your full logo is visible to your followers. In some cases a simple resize may not be enough if your logo or branding is a little more complicated.
Never underestimate the importance of your social media branding - this image is what you portray to your followers as a first impression, and in-turn your potential/existing customers. That's where we are here to help - not only can we advise you on the best way to present your logo on Twitter (and everywhere else for that matter) but we also are happy to design stunning visuals that will attract your customers to your brand.
